I am simply impressed. Upon ordering I was very, very, skeptical about what I was going to get. But this mattress is exactly as described. 12" thick (mine might be more). Very firm, but soft. 100% high quality memory foam. I cannot reinforce enough how sturdy and soft this mattress is. It is very heavy, which is a good thing.

Arrived rolled up and vacuum sealed. Immidiately after opening and unrolling it began to take shape. I'd say 5hrs or so later it was ready to sleep on (I did). There was a chemical smell but it disappated after about 3hrs.

I am very happy with this purchase.

Awessome ... Bed!
I had one ...from a different company "NasaBed" It was just like Thempedic's Deluxe Model. ...and this has better "Specs" for the thickness and maintaining the 5.3 density needed for the Tempur's (true needed firmness). This one has 5" and my Nasa, has 4". NO less than 4". Not all Memory Foam has even the Thempur's 5.3 density. Read the the thickness of the two layers. First should be the already mentioned 5.3, at least 5" ... or 4". Both are AWESOME. The bottom layer is of firm support base.

i love this bed,my husband and i were looking at the name brand,but there was no way we could affored it,and i read the reviews for this one and thought this might be a good comprmise,i would recomend going and laying on one of the name brand ones at the store,because this is not like a normal bed so if you dont know how its supposed to feel you might not like it,also to me this bed is firm and soft,and reminds me of the name brands,new softer one,so good deal there.mine had very littel smell,in fact i have bought memory foam topers for my other bed wich reaked for days,but this i dont even notice.it also has the same warranty as the name brand.wich i liked.it arrived quickly and packeged like a sausage.it plumped up almost immeditly,and was good to go.i hope this review helps.

Great mattress!
I ordered this just after Christmas 2009 and have been sleeping on it since early January. Simply put, this mattress is GREAT. The one drawback was the smell, but truthfully it was gone within 24 hours (or at least to the point my wife and I could sleep on it). The mattress is very warm in the winter which I enjoy. So far though the summer I have not noticed it making me hot, so that's good. It really is an eye opening difference from sleeping on a standard spring mattress - and the price is amazing!

I am glad I read all the reviews and took everyone's advice on buying this mattress. I have not slept on this mattress yet, but just trying it out gives me a good indication on how comfortable it will be. My roommate tried it out and he is pretty blown away by its comfort. I thought I would have to spend a lot more to get something this comfortable. It was also a lot of fun watching this thing inflate and conform to its intended shape and size.

Regarding the smell, I noticed a citrus scent when I first opened it from the sealed bag. I tried rubbing my nose on the mattress to try to pick up the infamous bad smell and I really couldn't smell anything out of the ordinary. Maybe I have a dulled sense of smell or maybe some of the claims were a bit exaggerated.

All in all, I love it so far!
